RMLBC Craft Night

RMLBC is having a Craft Show October 6th.   The church will have a booth for with proceeds going to debt retirement.  So, a group of ladies (those interested in crafts) are making things to sell at our table.  You might have seen our rag wreaths we made on our women's retreat in Feb.  All those are up for sale.

This month Erin and I led the night.  I'm certain I'm not a good teacher.  We made modge podge canvases - or started them at least.  I didn't bring any examples and I'm not sure people caught my vision.  I just hope they sell!

I made this one and I hope it will say..."His Eye is on the Sparrow"  in some fancy kind of way!

Edna made this one... Not sure what it will say but maybe "He is Risen" would look good!  Or maybe even nothing!  Not sure yet.  It's a work in progress!

Erin's craft is super cute.  She is making time out chairs out of chairs our church had and was about to give away - that's free money right there!!  So there was a lot of gluing and painting going on.

I'm so excited about this Craft Show.  All my crafty friends if you want to sell something we are selling boths for $50 and you keep all your proceeds.  Let me know if you are interested in reserving one.

Picture Perfect Weekend

So Easter is right around the corner and we got these precious bunnies to take pictures with (thanks to our friend Jill Jackson)... Sue found just a beautiful spot for pictures and it was a perfect, might I say, PICTURE PERFECT weekend.  It was cool, there was plenty of shade, NO RAIN, plenty of amazingly beautiful subjects, my only complaint...BUGS.  But the owner of this amazing property lent me a bug repellent (kinda like a miniature fan) and I was good to go.

Here are a few of my absolute favorite shots...

That's right!  21 people strolled through this place!  I was amazed and the slots filled up so fast the day I advertised this!  By the end of the weekend I could barely walk.  It was INSANE!!!  Taking pictures is a GREAT form of excercise.

Thank you so much friends.  Most of all enjoyed your company.

Spring Break Festivities

We had an uneventful Spring Break and NO ONE is complaining!  We had Riley spend the night with us because her mom had surgery so we spent a lot of time with a Diben.  Also Delilah moved in down the road so the kids spent a lot of time playing with Hannah and Ian as well.

Monday we did nothing...I mean nothing!  I edited pictures while the kids played all day.  I took Riley home that night and spent some time with Shea.

Tuesday I had to work and again the kids stayed home and played.  After work I went to the Thrift store with Brittney, she was teaching me how to shop.  I was looking for a chair to paint for my pictures that weekend.  FOUND IT.  Look for it in the Easter Pictures this weekend. After the thrift store adventure I went to pick Riley up again and she spent the night.

Wednesday I was off hoping to do something fun with the kids!  We went bowling.  We played 2 games.  Probably should have just played one.  The first game everyone did so good but the second game Mary didn't play - she was somewhat over it.  And at the beginning of the second game Isaac threw a gutter ball two isle down in someone elses game.  And they were playing a REAL game - not a bunch of kids playing.  So it took them a minute to set it back right.  I felt horrible.  I held him in my lap and of course he cried and cried and in about 5 minutes he was FAST asleep.  And he KNEW what he did.  I asked him, "Do you know why you are in trouble?"  In tears he said, "I frew it ober dere!"  He had tried to do it two times before he found me distracted and got away with it.  The big kids had fun playing the babies turns.  Riley beat the pants off everyone!!  One game I would have left thinking it was a success.   But having played two and the melt downs... I now think I'm crazy.  At least you live and learn.  I used some coupons so we had to play two games!!  All is well now.  That's over!

Thursday, back to work and my parents kept the kids.

Friday, I lost my mind again and decided to go and take Noah to get his eyes checked.  He needed to have it done and I'm glad I did it.  My mistake may have been taking 4 kids!  ha!  They did pretty good considering and America's Best got us in and out.  THANK YOU!!  Look at the cute glasses he got.  He was ok with getting these because he now looks like Corey Lenard at church.  A super cool guy!!

While we waited on Noah, Mary tried on glasses too.  She found a cute pair.  Luckly she doesn't neeed them!!

After the glasses we went to pick up the Bunnies we were going to babysit for a week.  Then we headed to Shea's house to show her the bunnies and play for a while.  We had a great afternoon with them.

Having a GREAT TIME!

The net was pretty much dry rotted on the trampoline and Noah flew right through it.  This is the kids laying in the HOLE that he left.  Thankfully there was no serious injury!!  Love these kids!!

That night I took pictures of Anna with the bunnies.  I wanted to see just how hard this photoshoot over the weekend was going to be.  Luckly it was a lot easier then when I did my own kids.  But isn't Anna just beautiful!!!

All the kids really enjoyed these bunnies.  They were so sweet and needed a serious rest.  So Mary would just sit and watch them.  She's so sweet!

Now tomorrow should be exciting!!

For Shalita

Ok... Shalita... It's YOUR turn!!
Please let's get together and actually plan a date!!

What's it gonna take?!?  Next week is Spring Break for y'all!!  How about it?!?

Happy Anniversary!

Today we celebrate 12 years of marriage. I thought I was happy here.

Oh how I had no idea what real joy is - what real love felt like... This couple was in love for sure. But now, 12 years later the depth is so great.

THIS is true love!
I wouldn't trade you Jason Dollar for anything. Almost everyday I'm amazed the Lord allowed me to find you and be your wife. YOU are truly one of God's BEST GIFTS to me!!

As I read 1 Cor. 13 I know for sure you have loved me!!

Love never gives up. (Let's just say - we're still married)
Love cares more for others than for self. (I see you do this everyday at home and also at church)
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. (You always tell me...It's just you!  You don't want the prettiest smartest most talented...You like what you got!)
Love doesn't strut, (I'm bragging...but you are so humble when dealing with us)
Doesn't have a swelled head, (again,  no not you!)
Doesn't force itself on others, (EVERYDAY!!  You are never demanding about your desires)
Isn't always "me first,"  (just sometimes...ha...  YOU again!  Always so giving and easy going)
Doesn't fly off the handle, (BEYOND PATIENT with me and the KIDS)
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, (I do this so much and you are so quick to forgive)
Doesn't revel when others grovel, (WORDS WITH FRIENDS)
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, (I see you seeking the Lord daily, as you sit in the "walking room" reading or praying and my heart feels content...hasn't always been that way but I envy your passion for Christ and His word.)
Puts up with anything,  (Let's just say it again, we're still married - thanks for loving me...I know it can be hard)
Trusts God always, (We've seen HIS hand too many times to "not to")
Always looks for the best, (YES!)
Never looks back, (Thank you)
But keeps going to the end.
Love never dies. (YIPPEE)

The Message

.. so thankful for your love and thankful that true love can be measured and I KNOW I AM LOVED BY YOU, only because Christ loves us both!  Thank you Lord for this beautiful thing called LOVE!  That it can be given and received.  Lord, I ask you make our marriage a picture of the Church!! Jason, you have given me so much, loved me so deep, lead me so right!  I love you babe!

What a way to Start!

Spring Break started off just delightful!! I went to sit with my sister while she got an infusion Friday. Not fun for her...but fun for me. We got to spend some much needed time together. I'm so looking forward to sweet sweet Vivian set to arrive in June!!

As I was leaving... this was my view as I left our apartments!

We got new neighbors! Delilah and Bret live right up the street now! I've never been so happy to see a Uhaul! YIPPEE!!!

That night I got to take some VERY FUN PICTURES of Aiden.  I think I'm in love with this kid.  He is going to be a heart breaker!!  Sometimes when I take pictures for people, it's a job.  I feel the expectations and I work.  Not so with Aiden.  Heather and I just had the best time playing with Aiden and watching him get into all kids of things!  My favorite was the Chicken Coop we went to, and Aiden proved he was FEARLESS!!  Heather just made things so fun!  He could get dirty, he could play, we pretty much just captured "a day in the life of Aiden."  And then to edit the pictures was even more fun because Aiden was so dern cute.

I took the girls with me to Aiden's pictures because I knew we would be in open land and they would love to play with him. We got all kinds of dirty! And then we had to head to the church to listen to Toccoa Falls Choir perform at our church. They were so good. I have to admit I was dreading it. Not their concert but housing 2 of the students. I hate when I make things a bigger deal then they are. But the kids enjoyed the people that stayed with us - and of course...It was fun!

Here are some of my favorite pictures of Aiden. You can check out the album at www.pagedollar.net
