It's next to impossible to get a family picture!
But it's only gonna get harder!

Camel Lot

I went there!  I directed a Children's play.  Probably not the wisest thing a grumpy pregnant woman should do ... but I think, I THINK, the kids loved it!  Despite my ill nature!

Love these PEOPLE!!

It was such a cute drama.  It was about a girl who was in a Christmas play and fell asleep right before it started and had this dream.  Her dad was a car salesman and wasn't sure he could make it to her play.  Her dream was about her Dad owning a "Camel" lot (instead of car lot).  And all the shepherds, wisemen, and other people in town for the census convincing her dad he must go see this baby born in the manger.

The kids were amazing.  They danced and sang their little hearts out.  They made me so very proud.

Anna got sick the day of the drama.  She was in the church bathroom throwing up and she did about half her lines and then slipped off stage.  She was miserable.  She worked so hard and knew every line and every song and dance only to have to sit out.  My heart just broke for her.  I thought it was her nerves but she never got better.  She quit throwing up but her stomach was still hurting so bad she couldn't go or do anything.  When she wasn't better by Wednesday I took her to the Doctor and she has acid reflux with gastritis.  POOR THING!  She has had to be on meds and a special diet so her stomach can heal.  I was so glad it wasn't her nerves!  She is so my child.  Our nerves hold us back from being super stars.  ha!!

To God be the Glory!

Now...on to Easter planning!  HA!

13 weeks

13 weeks and I'm finally making it to the Doctor.  So it's not my favorite place to be and this is the 5th kid.  What is the rush?

Benefit of going at 13 weeks.  An ultrasound!!  And wow...it revealed a beautiful baby ... no grain of rice, no round circle ... PERFECT BABY!!  Just precious!

Jason had gone to the visit with me but as we waited to get the ultrasound it started to get late and he had to pick up the kids from school.  He missed it.  And we had decided we were not going to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.  So, in the sonogram room with the tech, she asks me AT 13 WEEKS... You want me to see if I can tell you if it's a boy or a girl.  I really wanted to cheat.  If I was a good secret keeper I totally would have taken her up on the offer.  But I told her we had decided we weren't going to find out.  So she wouldn't tell me without Jason!  But how fun would have have been...to find out so soon?!?

The baby was very still...hoping for a calm child.  Measured right on schedule (due June 17).  It also had it's hands up at it's face just like the way Anna sucked her thumb.  So sweet.  Anna said, I thought we would just see the baby, not see how it was like one of us.  SWEET!  I love that the big kids can realize they have character even in the womb.  Such a beautiful thing.

It was a very exciting day!  And after telling my doctor how I didn't like coming all that much he let me wait 6 weeks before I have to go back.  Then, we would do the big sonogram... 18 weeks!  WHOOP!

I saw...

Just call me Dr. Dollar!  This was very exciting and a part of me wishes I was not 13 weeks pregnant.  I was not sure if I would be queasy or not.  I wasn't sure what I was about to see.  We were a week out from having the flu and I was very weak.  Talk about my heart condition...  it was racing!  But oh, I got to see something I'll probably never see again...

A C-Section!  That's right folks.  My friend Mindy got me back in the OR to take pictures of her C-Section.  I wish I knew when I went in that I would not be sick, I would not faint, and I would come out just fine...because oh, I would have seen a lot more.  I had high hopes of crossing the veil, they even offered me a spot but I just couldn't...they needed to focus on Mindy, not whether I got sick, or passed out, or experienced cardiac arrest.  Let's focus on her.  I came out of there with SWEAT RINGS I'm telling you!  But it was amazing.  Just amazing!  I personally don't want one...but the fact they can get babies out if they need to is quite comforting.

Sweet Olivia...

I'd venture to say she's plum perfect.  Thanks Mindy and Lee for letting me be a fly on the wall!!  Love you guys!

November 2012

I feel like November was a bust!  This first trimester, though I have not been throwing up, is about to kill me.  I just hate the gagging feeling, I hate the blah feeling, the no energy, the lack of enthusiasm to do anything!  I feel like each day my goal is to make it through each day.

Thanksgiving was a BUST this year too.  As you know things were going to be different for us anyway.  We had planned to spend the day with Jason parents (which Jason did do with the kids), but me...STUCK in BED with the FLU.  Could not move, fever, body aches, no rest!  TERRIBLE DAY!  Thankfully my mom had taken my grandmother over to my uncles house so she escaped the wrath of the flu!  We were supposed to celebrate with my parents and sister on Friday but I was still in the bed and my mom refused to come over.  My goal was to stay in bed all day because Saturday we were going to Nashville to the Opryland hotel and see the Rocketts and the Grand Ole Opry!

Yes, we made it to Nashville!  But Anna and I felt terrible and we tried our best to have a good time.  I think we were glad we went.  Shared the flu with all our friends...because that is what good friends do.  The Rocketts were amazing and Shek Ice just might have been my favorite!!  I love our friends.  They are all so sweet.  It was such a fun girl trip just wish I could have had the full effect - you know...feeling good and not feeling dragged around!  It's amazing how terrible we felt and we still had so much fun!

Giving it our best!  Anna and I are so sick!

First snow...ha!
About to freeze!!  YAY!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween always starts about a week early!!  Mary started off Halloween this year with her dance party.  She was a BEAUTIFUL Batgirl!  She loves Mrs. Shalita and was out to impress!

Isaac had to get in on the attention

He's such a cute kid!  Steals my heart everyday!

Then we went to my Aunt's house in the Holler (Mulberry, TN).  They have an annual weenie roast on the first full moon of fall.  This was our first year and I would love to make it a tradition!!  It was so fun and so freezing!  The kids loved running in the open fields, exploring the broken down barn, and hiking all day.  My dad took the boys fishing and Will and Noah both caught a trout.  Oh the joys of country living!  Then we drove up the mountain to the campfire and roasted marshmallows and weenies, and spent time with our amazing family.  The smoke from the campfire was burning our eyes out but we were too freezing to stay away for long.  It was cloudy so we didn't even see the moon.  Oh well.  It was still worth the trip. It's an absolutely beautiful place and I love that we are welcome anytime!

RMLBC Fall Festival. Always so much fun!

READY!!

Mindy thought she would be all cute and get a costume without me and Erin. Well we showed her!
I've got the 1st trimester blues!!  You can so tell...The others look GREAT!

Isaac and Noah disappeared into the fun...didn't get pictures of them at the actual festival doing things...ha!

And of course by Halloween at mom's I was done!!  No pictures this year.  Could barely find all the parts to the costumes.  DONE...I say DONE!!  But we ate a lot ...and walked the neighborhood and got GOOD candy!  It was fun!!  Lots of FUN!  Hope you all had a Happy Halloween too!!
