While Jason was away I picked up my "Read the Bible in a Year" plan (which it has taken me 2 years to get where I am now, not even halfway there!) but I'm trying! That's beside the point!
I was in the Word - and I was reading 2 Chron. 10-12, not really expecting the Lord to speak to me. But he did. And it was funny! I was really wanting to complain about the kids - just the constant work they are especially while Jason was away and then I read this..."Rehoboam loved Maacah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and concubines (he took eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and fathered twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters)." Okay Lord, I can handle my 4 kids (2 sons and 2 daughters)! I can, I CAN!! Thank you Lord for showing me that it can be worse, I could have a ton of kids and some wives to deal with!! Oh, I love how the Lord knows how to speak to me.
Then on a different day I reading a devotional the College Pastor here at Briarwood had written and one of his points was this verse: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:14-16). This was right after the girls from church had come over to spend time with me, Erin and Mindy cleaned my carpets, and Marybeth cut my hair. I was struck that it said, "they will see your GOOD WORKS and glory the Father." These girls were ministering to me with their good works and I will give GLORY to the Father. I was so encouraged, the Body of Christ is a beautiful thing. May I minister to the WORLD as I've been ministered too!
Thank you Lord for your love.

I got to work today b/c JASON IS COMING HOME TOMORROW!! And I want to be home with him - right BESIDE HIM!!
Work was soooo nice and Crystal I owe you the world for keeping the kids for me! I know it's not your favorite but you really helped me out!! Julie and I make Tuesday "Funday" b/c she and I both are off the rest of the week! We decided to have lunch together at Johnny Rockets where we had this AMAZING waitress!!
After work we had a CHATFEST - so fun!! Leslie, Beth, Liz, Erin, Delilah, Hannah and Sarah all came over to keep me company on this LAST NIGHT of the trip. We had some good food and just a great time being together! Thank you friends for keeping me company! I love you and needed you like no one's business!!
When every one left Crystal and Jasmine came waltzing through my door to spend the night with me one more time! Love you girls - thanks for keeping me company! I hope you aren't sick of the DOLLARS! I know I have crazy kids and that's why it means the world you stayed with me!!!
JASON, TOMORROW - YOU/ME!!! CANNOT WAIT!!! Cannot wait to hear you voice, hold your hand, see you smile, kiss your face, and love you half to death! Absence truly does make the heart grow fonder!!!

That is the question! The answer...BOTH! Or at least I'm telling myself that! We've had a good week. CRAZY! Some plans got cancelled (COKE FACTORY _ BOO) some got rearranged, but one thing is for sure! WE HAVE BEEN BUSY!
Today I worked, which was such a sweet relief! It was a sense of "normal" - we had a lot of laughs and great prayer time! I got stuff done and prepared to do so I can be off with Jason the rest of the week. CANNOT WAIT! Delilah started off the day by coming and getting the kids for me. She got them dressed and ready to go which saved me about 45 minutes and a rushed spirit! Delilah, I LOVE YOU!! You are such a good friend. Can't imagine life without you! Thanks for loving me and being patient with me, and encouraging me! So, I started out the day being super encouraged by her love for me!! That's a good way to start the day!
THEN, HAIRCUTS!! I LOVE HAIRCUT DAYS! I can't say enough how much I appreciate what Marybeth has done for us! She takes a day and cuts all our hair - not to mention this time I threw JASMINE in the mix! Jasmine has massive amounts of hair and Marybeth "tamed it"! It is so cute now!! THANK YOU MARYBETH!! I needed the pampering! You are super sweet and you minister to our family in ways I can't put into words! THANK YOU!!! I love you sweet friend!!
When Marybeth arrived so did Mindy, E and Levi. They came bringing the CARPET CLEANER! This part just crosses the line into plain SPOILED! As I'm getting my haircut and making sure all the kids are getting theirs cut the way I want it (ha). Erin is getting everything off the floor and Erin and Mindy proceed to clean the carpet. I'm not at all lying!! SPOILED!! Mindy and Erin, you know I love you so much and now I owe you big time! I know what Erin wants because she's like me and will just tell ya but Mindy...how can I repay you!?! Not be on your Volleyball Team?!? THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! The way y'all love me is so encouraging to me. I cannot express how thankful I am that the Lord allowed me to meet and get to know y'all!! Thanks for the laughs - you lift my spirit immediately!! I love you both so much!!
Then to top off the night Crystal and Jasmine spent the night with me ... We had a great time! Thank you so much for staying with me and keeping me company! Keeping my mind off just how close Jason is to being home! Thanks for making me laugh, for indulging in milkshakes with me, and for loving my kids! You guys are super sweet and I am right now thanking the Lord for you and your friendship to me!! I LOVE YOU TWO TOO!!!
Going to bed tonight feeling very blessed, loved, and spoiled rotten!! Lord, let me minister to others as all these have done for me in ONE DAY (and as Jason does in Peru)!! Thank you for the Body of Christ! It's a beautiful thing!!

Church was great today. When we have someone other than Jason preaching I always get the feeling of awkwardness. Like, is the music gonna all flow?, are the guest gonna feel welcomed? or do they know we are out of routine? Things I should NOT be worrying about. But this morning was SOOOO good! The band was GREAT and we really worshipped. Corey is really impressing me with his drum skills!! He definitely was a missing link to the whole band thing! Adam did a GREAT job preaching the Word. I have pondered what he said several times. And he can make anyone feel welcome. So immediately that awkward feeling was gone and I worshipped. Thank you "Band" for leading us to the throne! Thank you Adam for exposing our battle with flesh!! It was a very timely message!!
Shea, took Anna home with her and it was SO great! It's so weird how if you take ONE kid out of the mix the whole dynamic changes! I'm NOT saying Anna is the bad one. But just think... Without Anna here Noah has no one to pick on and no one to fight with. Without Noah, Anna has no one to bother and fight with. If Isaac is gone we get to relax and not have to worry about if he got outside, or if he is in the trash, or the constant slam of doors (he loves doors). And if Mary is not here, well, nothing much changes! HA!! Just kidding! She has her fits too. She has meltdowns!! With Mary gone we don't have to worry about who pooped in the floor or SPILLED her pee. That's what she said the other day as she was peeing in the bathroom floor!! "It's SPILLING, it's SPILLING!" So, Shea, you have made up for not coming to girls night! I love you and you definitely gave me a BREAK!!
Noah, Mary, Isaac and I went to Target after church to get a hairdryer (like Jae's) but they didn't have it! We went to 2 different Targets! So I ordered it on Amazon! Can't wait for it to come! We had fun wondering around Target - we ate at the Deli, yea, they had popcorn and pretzels with icees for lunch! MOTHER OF THE YEAR AWARD RIGHT HERE!! We looked at lots of toys and the kids even let me look at stuff! It was fun! We got home just in time for Mom to take Noah to see The Green Lantern, I traded Noah for Francie! It was a pretty good trade!!
Then, yes, THEN... We headed to Lori's house to take pictures of Emerson! Such a sweet baby! Lori and I talked about how our husbands needed to GET BACK HOME for the sake of the well being of the family...ha! We never get to be together really but I love Lori. She is so funny and fun to talk to!! She wasn't too happy with us when Mary pooped and peed in her floor!! CRAZY photo shoot, I definitely will take you where ever you want to go take pictures! I'll think of something good for her! I'm all out of ideas with Jason gone and 3 kids doing crazy things while I TRY to take pictures!!!! But look at the sweetness....

This is beginning to feel like a Dear Diary blog!
Noah, Mary, and I stayed up LATE last night to watch Secretariate! It was SO good. I thought I would fall asleep because it was 2 hours (about a horse) but it is really good and action packed. We loved it. So, we slept late again today! YAY!
We just chilled today. SO HAPPY MY KIDS SLEEP LATE!! We cleaned a little, Will and Francie came over and they all played so well, I was able to play on the computer, lounge around, and watch TV. Made them dinner - it was Shea's recipe, Cheesy Spaghetti - absolutely delicious but the kids didn't love it! Surprised? Not.at.all!!
Apparently I really needed to get out!! I got super excited to be going out without the kids! Our friend Lori had a baby shower for her Emerson! Precious baby. And LOTS my girl friends were there! I was so excited to be getting out tonight. I got ready at 4 p.m, the shower wasn't until 6:30 p.m. The kids were so occupied with each other I got to get ready at my own pace and even "fixed" my hair and did my make up! It was so fun! I NEVER get to do that! Jae, I'm gonna buy the hairdryer. You inspired me... TOMORROW...I'm going by Target!! Can't wait!
It is really amazing how just 3 hours away from the house with great friends and lots of laughs can make things look up for me! I left the house thinking my blog tonight would be "Lies I'm Believing" - like, 1. My kids hate me, 2. My kids hate each other, 3. My house can be clean, 4. The laundry will get done, 5. Hiding in my room can make certain kiddos disappear...(that's just a few - and we were having a really good day). But then, I come home and everyone is happy, CLEAN, and loving! Awwww...It was nice - I have a happy heart once again!
Going to bed with a thankful heart... I love my husband, KIDS, and parents more than this silly blog will ever be able to express. I love my friends so much - thanks for the encouragement and fun times we always seem to share! The Lord is so good and for these things I give him the PRAISE!!
