Batman Party

We aren't done party-ing!! We went to Ella Kate's Batman Party the other day! We had so much fun! She is the sweetest little girl. She wanted to have a Batman Party because her future husband "Kevin" would like that! But I think she liked it too!

It was so fun...we got to meet Batman. Never ever met him before! He's a lot shorter than I thought he would be but you know...movies always make you look bigger. Ella Kate introduced him to ALL her friends and then they danced together, which was super sweet! But then he had to go return to Gotham City! She was fine with that too...Gotham City NEEDS Batman!!

Ella Kate was so sweet opening her presents. She was surprised with ever gift but she also let the person that gave her that gift help open it! Then a picture opp... and then it was time for them to remove themselves from her chair. In an oh, so nice way!

The food was GREAT, the friends were GREAT, the cake was OH SO GREAT, and the pinata was GREAT! A pull string pinata is the best idea EVER! We felt like we were really in Gotham City!

Happy Birthday Ella Kate!! I can't believe you are a BIG 4 YEAR OLD!! We love you so much!! I hope you got all the boy toys you ever dreamed of getting!! And don't forget to tell your mom I want to see a picture of you in your Batman Pjs!

Birthday Celebration #3

Mom (Dad paid) for us to celebrate my birthday at the Melting Pot. Silena, Karyn, Mom, Delilah and I had a GREAT time there. Delilah was the only one who had ever been before. Not only is it just fun, the food (cheese & chocolate) were SO good. Like really, really, really, really good!

Since we had so much fun at Mother's Day taking a girl outing we decided we want to do it more often. We laugh a lot, talk, catch up, and eat! What's not to love?!?

Thank you Mom, Silena, Karyn, and Delilah for celebrating with me! And Thank You so much Dad for giving us a night to remember!

All Stars & Pictures

Noah made the All Stars this year with the Joy League. He was one of 4 who made it from his team. Noah got sick Friday with a fever and sore throat - pretty sure it was what Anna had last week, he was devastated because some birthday plans got canceled. He also did NOT want to miss his allstar game. SO, we let him play being sick! We got his fever down that morning and he said he felt well enough to play. But he wasn't well, he struck out every time he came up to bat and that is not normal for him. He did a great job stopping the ball one time and not letting it get by him. He said he missed a couple of balls because when he looked up he felt dizzy. I know, that's not a good sign. I could tell he got discouraged a few times but he kept a good attitude. He was so happy to be there as an allstar. The other team won but not by much it was 7-10. We've had a really great experience with the Joy League.

After the game Noah crashed and I went to take pictures of Laken and Eli. They are sweet baby cousins. They are a week and a day apart (like Noah and Will). What bundles of JOY! I had a GREAT time taking pictures for them. The babies did so good! They were super sweet! AND TINY!! Congrats Hannah and Sarah. WE love you and your babies very much!

At 31

Where I am at 31:

1. At 31 I'm still striving to follow after Christ. I'm extremely thankful for his forgiveness and love. I pray I will continue to grow and trust him more and more each day!

2. At 31 I'm still married to Jason (ha ha). BUT, after 11 years of marriage I'm so happy he's the one! He is an amazing husband and ONE of the best gifts the Lord has given me.

3. At 31 I am now the mother of 4 beautiful, amazing, funny, and all around GREAT kids! Noah, Anna, Mary & Isaac. And on some days I want to have another baby!

4. At 31 I still love to spend time with my parents who without them I could NOT, I repeat COULD NOT live without. They have been such a help to Jason and I - they are such great supporters! Thanks for helping raise my crazy kids and loving us all so much in words and ACTIONS! I love you mom and Dad...

5. At 31 some of my favorite things to do is hang out with my siblings! I love being adults with Chad and Silena. Makes me want to kick myself for not being more loving to them when we all lived together under the same roof. They are great friends!

6. At 31 I attend Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church, of whom the people there I am in love with - especially their young handsome pastor...(ha ha again - but I'm serious).

7. At 31 I've discovered a love for photography and once again I thank RMLBC for pushing me off that ledge. No time like the present to use some unknown talent.

8. At 31 I work at Briarwood with some really great friends. Going to work at 31 is a pure joy! I look forward to it.

9. At 31 I want to pull my hair out potty training Mary. She is the hardest one I've had to potty train. We are right in the middle of it and my mom promises me she will get it! Jason swears she will not go on her first date in diapers. Well, we'll see! On a side note she is the sweetest little girl around! I do love her so much!

10. At 31 my little 1 (almost 2 year old) puppy of a boy Isaac will bring the biggest burst of excitement to my heart! Joy overflowing! He is the sweetest not to mention cutest BABY EVER! Not to mention...INTO EVERYTHING drive me nuts little boy EVER - not sure how that all can be but it is!

11. At 31 I have a 7 year old on her way to a teenager. She is growing up so fast my little Anna. I love how she loves to sing at the top of her lungs (I get the joy of knowing what my parents heard when I was little like her). She is super smart and not to mention BEAUTIFUL! At 31 I'm loving being her mom!

12. At 31 I'm the mom of an ALL STAR baseball player. GO NOAH! And a future professional skateboarder. He makes me so proud. He continues to teach me how to be a mom and his favorite lesson to teach me is patience.

13. At 31 I still enjoy cartoon movies...right now the go to family movies are Gnomeo & Juliet and Tangled.

14. At 31 my go to CD in the car is JJ Heller's Painted Red and when it needs to be changed out we go to When I'm With You. She's my kind of music.

15. At 31 my favorite drink is COKE and by 32 I hope hope hope it's WATER! I know y'all been wondering when I was gonna mention my coke addiction. I'm trying to not be so addicted.

16. At 31 we are out of debt (other than school and home). Which is so exciting and it was a rough road to get there! We live in an apartment but we hope to move to McCalla and my dream (at 31 today) would be to live in Shea's neighborhood. Praying the Lord will make a way!

17. At 31 I got my first black eye! It hurt bad immediately! The kids SMCS yearbook fell off the top shelf of Noah's closet while I was getting stuff down and it hit me right in the eye. True story!

18. At 31 my favorite restaurant is Newk's - and the Newk's Q is my favorite sandwich. It's expensive so I don't go there but when I do it's a real treat!

19. At 31 I enjoy using the sewing machine Becky let me borrow to make rag blankets. At 31 I've made 3 and I'm right now working on Asher's mickey blanket and working on finishing Anna's purple kitten blanket. It's coming kids!

20. At 31 I still look forward to Christmas! It's my favorite holiday and I love the magic it brings. The birth of our Savior, the joy of a gift, the smells of the best food ever, the family getting together and sharing and catching up, not to mention 24 hours of a Christmas Story! I LOVE IT!

21. At 31 I'd rather go out to eat then cook. I really thought I would grow out of that...but, I haven't!

22. At 31 it's a treat when we get to sleep through the night! And another treat is to get to sleep before Jason.

23. At 31 I really enjoy chocolate. I like Dove and try to take the advice on the inside of every square! Today's - "Take time for yourself today" - ALRIGHT!

24. At 31 I've been told that in Oct I'm gonna run a 5k (I'm seriously doubting this but Delilah is dead set on making me and training me...)

25. At 31 for my family to go to the movies it would cost $38.50 JUST TO GET IN...

26. At 31 I'm super thankful for the Dollar Movie right down the road - Cost $5 go get in...b/c Isaac is still little!

27. At 31 We buy 3 gallons of milk that last us about 6 days. Apparently we like MILK! It never goes bad at our house. I remember growing up the milk was always questionable b/c we didn't drink it - we just used it for cereal and stuff like that. NEVER GOES BAD! If your milk is about to go bad...rush it over to the Dollars! ha!

28. At 31 I do not own an iphone. But thankfully by 31 I did get rid of the flip phone I had a few months back!

29. At 31 I enjoy SUMMER. I love no schedule, no demands, no homework, no programs...I love staying up late with the kids and sleeping in! Summer still feels like summer at 31 - it feels shorter though!

30. At 31 family warms the heart and I love every moment I get to be with them!!

31. On my 31st birthday I got a Birthday Basket from Jason filled with 2 BIG Cokes, pj pants, a Mr. Pibb shirt (b/c he thinks he's funny), Double Stuff Oreos, Dove Chocolate with mint in the middle, a card with love notes from the kids and Jason, a cushie steering wheel cover (which I love and would have NEVER thought to get), dinner at Jim n Nicks with the family and ICE CREAM from Bruster's with the family and Mom and Dad! And a rainbow to close the day! Thanks Jason for a very thoughtful 31st Birthday present! I love it all and you and NAMI...

Being an Ambassador

Jason and I were able to attend an Ambassador Training for the Alabama Children's Home this week at Shocco Springs. I did not want to go...I wanted Jason to go and then I started feeling bad because I really didn't want to go but I knew I was gonna have a good time. It was somewhat of an inconvenience to my schedule of work and days off with the kids. Well wouldn't you know it - I had a great time.

We took Noah and Anna with us b/c they had a camp going on for the families who work with the Alabama Children's Home. It was so great to see so many healthy, happy families and kids. The Alabama Children's Home is doing a great job loving and supporting foster kids. I was so inspired to raise awareness and help get people and our church involved in the ministry! It's just a great GREAT ministry! We met the neatest people there!

Shocco Springs reminds me a lot of Ridgecrest a camp I grew up going to when I was little. It's beautiful and the distractions of the world are very far away! It was stormy the 2 days we were there so we got to spend a lot of time resting and just hanging out with Noah and Anna. Noah and Anna are such troopers. They love to go to camp and meet new people - they had a great attitude about the whole thing. Noah fell in love with a game called Poly-pong...it's like 4 square but with a pingpong table. Anna enjoyed reading and we did watch a few movies on my laptop.

After this trip I now want to find a way to go to Ridgecrest. I'm sure things are all different now but I may be finding a group to go! Everyone needs to experience camp like that! EVERYONE!

So, Jason and I are now well trained to be ambassadors for the Alabama Children's Home. I'm excited and hope to see more churches get involved. Thanks Doug Foster for thinking of us and inviting us to partner with you in ministry!

Happy Happy Father's Day!

How sad is it that Jason woke up to this Father's Day surprise and enjoyed it while we all were fast asleep? On Sunday's Jason is a early riser so I knew to set it up the night before - smart thinking! I absolutely adore Jason and think he is a GREAT Dad (and husband, I might add). We spent a lot of time this year just attempting to let him know just how special he is. We got him 2 canvas prints (one from the kids and one from me). He also got a basket full of a few of his favorite things and a few "Father" necessities - like Pj pants, boxers, and socks. Then each kid made him a home made card which meant a lot to him!

Jason, we celebrate you and thank the Lord he gave you to us! You are a true gift! We love you so much!

First up...A try at Family Pictures...You decide if you want Isaac looking...

or Mary ... You can never have both at the same time!

Jason headed to church with Noah and we slept in because Anna is still recovering. Which today was her best day yet! She's getting better! No fever today! YAY!! Then we they got home we headed to my sister's house to celebrate with my dad. We had a very relaxing day and the kids just played with each other and pretty much did their own thing. They played in the sprinklers which Isaac really really really enjoyed. Isaac also jumped on the trampoline - he loves to jump and so you can image how much fun he had in the trampoline! We had a GREAT lunch - so yummy - Mushroom swiss burgers, mac-n-cheese, mom's GREAT baked beans, potato salad, brownies, cupcakes. Delicious! Thanks Silena for having us over. We loved it!

Outside Fun

I love how Mary is walking with a purpose!

Happy Father's Day! We love you Dad!

Attempting to get a picture with the kids...NEXT.TO.IMPOSSIBLE!!

Hey Ladies...here's the next BEST DAD IN THE WORLD!! He's come from a long line of Wonderful Dad's!! I love my Isaac buddy!
