A Merry Christmas Indeed!

I heard on the news the other day that anyone can be a Santa! And Jason and I now believe that is true! A friend of mine asked..."Do your kids do Santa or do they know YOU are Santa?" I got to tell her we "do" Santa but we are NOT Santa! Our kids were overloaded with gifts from several different people who had the spirit of giving this year! Those people are all a part of the Body of Christ...so ultimately the gifts are from HIM (and even if they weren't part of the Body - they still are from HIM)! This overflow of giving only makes Jason and I want to be better givers ourselves. We have felt extremely strapped the past year and a half and we haven't got to experience the Joy of Giving! We feel very blessed and loved - we feel undeserved and humbled to have received but we also know it is better to give than receive! I'm praying the Lord allows us to become givers - and not just physical gifts either - gifts of time and service as well! I pray the Lord opens my eyes to needs around me!

We had a great Christmas - lots of time spent with friends and family! It was just what a weary pregnant person needed. Lots of love from the ones who love me most and not to mention the food was "just what I needed too!"

Jason and I had a GREAT Christmas Eve this year! One of his students had given him a giftcard to Outback and we went on a date there...then came home and wrapped all the presents that needed to be wrapped - 2 hours of wrapping not to mention we ran out of tape and had to run into Walgreens - which was a funny adventure! I'm so glad I didn't wait for the kids to go to bed...that would have been an all nighter. The kids enjoyed Christmas with Sally and Ronnie while we did all that! It was so relaxing and just plain fun! Probably shouldn't have stuffed myself at Outback but still it was worth it!

Christmas morning went without saying...the kids loved everything! They were so sweet opening their presents and really appreciating their gifts! Our trip to Huntsville to see my Grandparents and other family was fun as well! I love getting to see everyone and hearing how great everyone's Christmas was. The kids are always so very excited to see each other too! The joy of Christmas definitely fills the house - it's one of the greatest feelings!

Well, I'll leave you with a slide show of our Christmas!

My new favorite super hero is Stool Boy! Anyone ever heard of him? The chances are no...Well, Ian Hooten is AKA Stool Boy. First of all, the pure fact that he came up with an super hero for himself and named him Stool Boy is hilarious to me! But then, I asked him, "What does Stool Boy do?" I promise he said this...I PROMISE! He said, "He carries big heavy stools for people!" FINALLY a super hero that helps the average individual in everyday life! You know if you are perfectly honest...deep down you too wish there was a REAL Stool Boy!

Christmas Pictures

Here's one picture that is pretty good!

Time is FLYING!

Okay we have been SO busy - but I still am finding time to steal away and rest! And I think that's why I've been feeling OK!! That's all the pregnancy news...And, I'm still in denial - I think that's why I haven't been so sick either! I mean if it's not true...why should I be sick!
Some of the fun actually started last weekend when mom scheduled all the grandkids to get Christmas pictures done in their PJs...let me just say...THEY ARE ALL DORKS! I can't wait until you can see the hilariousness of all the kids. Not one kid in particular - they are all equally dorkie - except Mary who is perfect and I think she has figured out that she is related to a bunch of dorks ;) HaHa!! It sounds harsh but really...you will see! But I just so happen to get a cute picture of the girls before the madness started...

Then Thursday my parents picked Anna and Francie up from school to go see my Aunt Ruth in TN. They had so much fun...and they got to see SNOW! I was so jealous when I saw the pictures! They visited with my Aunt and a few distant cousins, played in the snow, and went to the Rainforest Cafe at a local mall and then road a train in the mall. They loved it! But we missed Anna at home! We realized as crazy as she is...she is the life of our little party! Noah missed her and it was just so quiet! We didn't know what to do...

The Rain Forest Cafe and Mall - Anna loved it! And came home and reported that she did not freak out but Francie did!

That was all very exciting to the girls!

Then this happened!!

That's right! Noah lost a tooth! It was the most exciting thing that EVER happened to him! I was so happy for him! He also had his first basketball game the day he lost his tooth! He was so not interested in the game but I think he had fun anyway! He was so funny about it. And just so you know! The tooth fairy only brought him a dollar! I mean PEOPLE! It's just a tooth - I can't believe how much money some kids are getting for every tooth you lose! So we told him no matter what he got he better be thankful or she wasn't coming back. And he was so thankful and surprised! But he misses his tooth and wants to see it again though!

Merry Christmas!
This is one of my all time favorite Christmas pictures and it's not even from a magazine or web...it's my kids + the other 2 I would claim anyday!! We have this tradition to go see Santa with our friends Hannah and Ian (and I wish so badly they would add two more kids to the mix for Mary and #4 - but that's in God's hands - sorry that was WAY off track!) ANYWAY! Through the years the kids have gotten much better about sitting on Santa's lap and now they bring their list (and this year I'm afraid they will show up with Magazines) and they smile so prim and proper and in my opinion BORING!! I love the freaked out Anna and Ian and Noah's face is flushed because he wanted to be scared but I told him he couldn't - and he might have if he would have had to sit on him! Hannah is always the brave one and is probaby wishing all of us would leave so she could have some one on one time with Santa! It's like she is saying with her little hand on his shoulder...it's okay we are about to leave but please remember I was the best one! Anyway...Enjoy the season! Merry Christmas!

If Anna was a preacher - she would be a "Hell, Fire and Brimstone" one! I got report yesterday from her teacher that they were discussing Jesus coming as a baby to save us from our sins...

Mrs. Moore (TO THE CLASS of 4 year olds): "Now wouldn't that be so sad if God did not send Jesus to earth for us." (and I can't believe she asked the question but she did) "What would that mean?" - (I'm assuming the answer she was looking for is that we would not be saved or have life everlasting but the answer she got came from Anna)...

Anna: "We would all go to Hell!"

Again I told Mrs. Moore...If you give her the opportunity to say it in the right context - she's gonna say it! My kids love to say that word and they both know they can only say it in the way that means "the place - separation from God forever" otherwise they will get a long lecture from their dad ;) (- I love you Jason!)

Anyway...So Anna got to say Hell again at school today! How exciting! But her answer is so true.

Thank you Jesus for coming to earth and saving us from ourselves and the sin that so easily entangles us! Thank you for the Salvation you gave to us in your Son Jesus! We celebrate your birth this Christmas season and rejoice in our Rescue!

My Baby is a Genius

Mary is so cute! She loves to clap and so I've started singing "If You're Happy and You Know It" to her and she will clap!! She is a GENIUS but I am not...you can barely see this video...on my camera it doesn't look this dark. Maybe you can lighten up your screen and see it better! She's a doll!! We are in love!! Enjoy!

Here we go again!

I'm shocked and for days have been in denial! Last weekend I was so tired and slept between everything we did. I woke up Monday feeling very nauseated and Jason knew...She's pregnant! I said NO...I just have a virus! Well, not so...Monday night before bed I took a test and it was positive - but it was only one - Jason only bought ONE - I need at least 4 to believe!!! I called the Doctor Tuesday and tried to get them to tell me some random hormone was still running through my body since my baby is only 7 months - they said no...pregnancy tests tend to give false negatives NOT positives! I still did not believe!

So now one week later I sit here with a sonogram picture and the Doctor saying - it's REAL! You are 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant! You are having a baby! Still so hard to believe but I'm coming around!

SO - WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY Y'ALL!
